About Ezinne Nwude, MD, FACFP, MPH
Ezinne Nwude, MD, MPH, FACFP, is co-owner of Gold Cross Family Clinic El Dorado, Gold Cross Family Clinic Junction City, Gold Cross Urgent Care.
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Nwude has a Bachelor of Science degree from City University of New York – Brooklyn College, received her Master of Public Health degree from California State University – Northridge, and earned her medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine graduating cum laude. She completed her residency in Family Practice at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fayetteville.
Dr. Nwude recently received the 2020-2021 Image Award for Healthcare from the Union County NAACP. In 2020, she was recognized nationally for Excellence in Leadership by SCP and in 2017 was named MCSA Physician of the Year. She serves on the Board for the El Dorado Magdalene House for Women.
An advocate of public health education, she speaks to local and state conferences, civic, nonprofit, and church organizations on subjects from metabolic syndrome to general health topics including stroke, stress, diabetes, and the importance of taking responsibility for personal good health. She is often a guest on local and international virtual panels to educate the public about COVID-19, the effect and treatment for underlying conditions, and the pros and cons of the vaccine. She also focuses on the need for understanding the mental, emotional and spiritual side of self-care as well as physical wellbeing.
In 2014, Dr. Nwude joined MCSA as a hospitalist. She and her physician husband, Dr. Ugo Nwude, opened Gold Cross Urgent Care in 2015 in response to a regional need for extended access to injury treatment and acute medical care. In 2018, they opened Gold Cross Family Clinic in Junction City, expanding primary care to an underserved community. The El Dorado location for Gold Cross Family Clinic opened January 2022.
About Ugo Nwude
MD
Ugo Nwude, MD is co-owner of Gold Cross Family Clinic El Dorado, Gold Cross Family Clinic Junction City,
and Gold Cross Urgent Care. Dr. Nwude is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is an Emergency Department Specialist with more than 19 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from University of Nigeria College of Medicine. Dr. Nwude completed his family Medicine residency at UAMS South Central in Pine Bluff, AR. He completed two years of residency in orthopedics and trauma and is a member of the Royal College
of Surgeons in Ireland and also completed a two year residency in General Surgery at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, CT.
Dr. Nwude is an emergency medicine physician affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Ouachita County Medical Center, Jefferson Regional and North Louisiana Medical Center. Emergency medicine specialists diagnose and treat patients with life-threatening conditions like heart attack, drug overdose, shock, or massive bleeding.
Realizing men are the least likely to visit a primary care physician for routine checkups and early detection screenings, Dr. Nwude works with community leaders to help educate men about the simple adjustments they can make to their lifestyle to lead a longer, healthier life.

Dr. Nwude is accepting new patients at the Junction City location. He and his family have chosen to live in El Dorado and believe it to be of the best places to own businesses and raise a family. They have three daughters and one son.
